October – Fly Tying

The first Official fall meeting of the Hoosier Fly Fishers went well. Several members were in attendance for the great food and fly tying demos. A slate of nominees was presented by Mike Donovan for next month’s election of officers.

Fly tying demos were presented by Barry Clarke and Dick Powell. Barry tied Lefty’s Deceiver and Dick showed how to tie a Parachute Adams. Both did a good job of explaining the details that make both flies very popular  with anglers .

October is the beginning of the membership year for HFF so dues are due now. Anyone with an interest in Fly Fishing or Fly Tying is welcome to come to meetings to see what Hoosier Fly Fishers is all about.
