Anyone interested in fly fishing or fly tying is welcome to attend. There seems to be increased interest in fly tying and this would be a good time to come see what it’s all about. More fly tying demos and maybe even tying classes will be scheduled in the future, so stay tuned. Hope to see you there.

Upcoming meetings: Project Healing Waters,  Annual Club Auction with Kernal Kevin, and the club picnic.

November 2019 HFF Meeting

Make sure to mark your calendar for this coming Tuesday November 19th as the next meeting of the HFF. This will be a busy meeting, fun as always but some “stuff” to deal with.

Among the business for the up-coming HFF meeting includes:

  • Election of Officers—the current executive committee has agreed to serve for another year. However, as always, we accept nominations from the floor.
  • Treasurer’s report. This will be a good time to pay your dues if you have not done so yet.
  • New members, please give Tim your email address to get on the google group.

Round table discussion, e.g. fishing reports, new equipment reports, etc.

There will be news for this year’s Christmas Party.

The raffle and the program.

The program this month will be our own Larry Barber trying 5 flies in five minutes. Larry believes there are flies tied to catch fish and other flies tied to catch fisher persons. He will tie flies designed to catch fish. Larry will also discuss the relationship of prey and predator when designing and fishing flies. He will also discuss why you need a 7 or 8 wt rod to land the Bluegills that are caught on  these flies.

Looking forward to seeing you all this coming Tuesday at the American Legion Post 18 in Bloomington . Dinner at 6:00 and program at 7:00.

Stay warm, Tim
